During these past few months i have learnt more than ever, and not only this but I’ve finally enjoyed learning.
I don’t have many people in my sourroundings to talk to about architecture or art in general except for my mom who shares my interests.
Me and her went around october to an exhibition here in Valencia that was held in the Museum of Modern Arts. The artist was Carmen Calvo, a contemporanean artist who does mostly paintings and structures. Through her work she demands up to date social problems. She is an advocate for woman´s rights and that´s what this exhibition was about. I loved every single piece, her message in everyone of them was loud and clear.
These past months, since the end of the summer. we have also been having disscusions as we learn about Notre Dame. My mother has done a masters in human sciences and this year she was preparing her end-of-masters project. She decided to do it on the restoration of the Notre Dame building after it was burned down. To complete this we have been researching information together about every single past restoration that this building has been through and concluding the work with who´s critical ideas will be followed for this new restoration. After reading chapter six of the theory, i have understood many things regarding this subject much better since it provided a general view of it all for me, the bigger picture that i needed.
